What bars are they? Thinking I may benefit from something like that.

Got the idea from this review and the comments. SQlab 3Ox16.

I'm running those same bars on my hardtail, felt a little weird at first, after a 2 day 84 mile ride on the Arizona Trail a week ago I got pretty used to them and had less hand/wrist pain than with my cheap Chesters also at 780. Didn't really notice them the last couple rides, including playing on the local dirt jumps. Will see how I feel after switching back and forth with the squishy bike, but right now I don't dislike them.

I put an 11deg bar on mine (inspired by the same article) and it feels great, helps with an old injury in my wrist. I went with a salsa bar to try it (price) before splurging on an sq labs bar later.

So… my current ht, chromag rootdown BA, blurs the lines a little too much with the big bike and with the imminent arrival of a 29er steamer the chromag will be retired. What I’m looking for to replace it is more of an xc/trail ht, more of a ride all day bike… preferably 120mm fork, preferably not too radical with the geo 74/68 70mm stem would be fine, preferably lightish and steel and preferably single speedable…

What’s out there!?!?!

Canfield Nimble 9 is close.
What wheelsize are you looking for?
And what's your desired TT length?

630mm + 70mm stem? That's long.

Not light but I raced my steel SS Honzo everywhere. Exact geo you are looking for and a dream to ride. It was perfect for East Coast tech.
