My 2.35 spesh tires rub my stays. I guess w less aggressive side knows you could get away with it.

anyone have problems with seat post slipping over the course of a ride? Even at 8nm torque my seatpost still slips, and i've tried different clamps as well. Have also tried with and without friction paste. i'm fairly large at 245lbs and 6'7 so i'm putting a lot of leverage on the dropper

ordered one of these to hopefully remedy the issue, but wondering if anyone else has any magic fixes

What frame and what post? I’m 6’7” and 275lbs and ran a chromag clamp on a rootdown with a one up, only occasional slip but very rare

tried tightening even more and the stanchion on the post started to scratch, but still came up so was concerned

Beer can shim for the seat post!! Ya rookies!!

This.
It sounds ghetto AF but if done right it works really well and you'll never think of it again.
Have had a lot of posts slip recently, I'm thinking because I have been using 240mm posts.
The longer the post, the less supported the center is and more likely to compress.

yup, mine is a 240. maybe a beer can shim is needed if the new seat clamp doesn't work!

Gorgeous frame and fork, but pretty lukewarm on the rest of it. Seat sucks, don't love the purple (pink?) accents, and either the cranks or the pedals should be a different colour to offset one another. Don't get me wrong though, would ride all day long...

Due to the fact you own a Knolly, I can't take your opinion seriously
Fair point - I got mixed up and was being a pedantic dick because I thought you were posting your own bike in the sexiest thread...my bad lol !

Put my boost dropouts on my old 631 ,plus my Eewings ,Fox36 and Reserve wheels a mix of XTR and XT brakes and XTR 11 speed drivetrain... Its feeling pretty solid ! Also was pleased to confirm it fits a 2.5 in back Felt great on test ride today, just need to slam the stem and it will be perfect.

as a result of too much time on my hands and being happy with the build in general, i painted the helm fork and moxie frame and converted it to single speed. new cockpit and steelflex hoses for the stoppers. stack is a tad too far up now, i'll lower the bars before the first real test ride. also have a new framebag waiting here.

Hey friends, been lurking this forum for a long time, time to post my whip!
Omnium Big Bad Jumbo
All the angles for shreddy stuff, all the frame space and bosses for bikepacking. Needed the one bike thing, love hardtails, wanted to be able to ride with my enduro friends, then load up for a weekend campout. So far its been awesome. I have owned a lot of bikes over my life, and this one is sitting near the top for me! Really happy with it, super fun bike.
Spec is fairly blue collar, so I guess highlight would be the Stooge moto bars.
