Hi

I'm looking for a cycling computer that can be fitted to a FR/DH frame (Cannondale Perp).

I have just tried fitting a Cateye Strada Cadence but the sensor magnets have a maximum gap limit of only 3mm and they don't work when installed normally.

The gap between wheel spoke and chainstay is about 20mm
The gap between crank arm and chainstay is about 15mm

I could pad the sensor out with something but its gonna make it pretty unstable...

Anyone have an alternative solution or a more FR?DH specific alternative

Budget £50

Cheers,
Mark

Knog Nerd Computer
Silicon, so you can stretch it. Works awesome, however took me a day or 2 to figure out how to navigate menus...
Not 100% sure about the gap distance, but works on all my other bike (road, AM)

Why on earth would you want a cycle computer on a DH bike anyways? lol

Has anyone found something working ? my VDO A8 does not work that well as the required gap between sensor and magnet is hard to achieve, and moves every 2-3 rides...

would help me to know what you're using (only would use it on a lyrik), thanks

I have used a cheap cateye wireless for past 2 years, put onto front fork, you can angle the sensor in to almost touching the spokes. Recorded top speed and distance.
