Love the white Alpine @AMviking. I think it's the same model year (2014) as mine.

I didn't get out at the weekend. Probably the first time in almost a year so I went out on Monday evening instead. There was nobody around and the weekend rain had dried up.

I rode up and did a small loop first then thought I'd get the phone out and do some videos linking a few of the disused quarries. There's no track but there's plenty of rocky features to play about on.

Hope you like it. Everything except the last shot was one take. No time to do more takes or to play anything back. As they say... it is what it is... just a bit fun Smile

OK bike nearly done.
Just waiting on a cane creek shock.
Lots of money spent on an 11 year old 26er.
Here's the refurbished totem and stans flows..

Is anyone running a Cane Creek DBCoil Inline on their Five? Keen to give one a go, as been riding some pretty brutal trails recently, and some extra suppleness would be amaze

I have ran a DBCoil in the past on my Santa Cruz and my Knolly but that was pre-inline days and pretty freaking amazing. I have heard a LOT of people having issues with the Inline though. Would probably go for the slightly older more reliable piggyback model if it was me.

Though any good coil shock on a Five is good. I run a DHX5 with a Ti Spring myself. Not the fanciest shock but miles better than the air cans I've run in the past. Makes the bike feel a little less soggy? (Right word?)

I ran a CCDB coil on my old Five and it was ace. Would recommend.

O+

One thing to bare in mind is the 86kg weight limit, though that might just be for the inline air
