Rode the course today. With all the hard work put in by the Sumas crew the last few weeks the trails are in great shape.

yeah, rode it yesterday, thanks to whoever mapped out the course
still went down world cup by accident, but didn't care because it kicked so much ass....

There is 4 big orange arrows pointing you passed World Cup, on to Time Killer. But ya I have heard that World Cup is mint right now.

There will be a free gear shuttle that will take stuff from the start line, back down to the Reg/BBQ area. Just throw your stuff in the back of our truck and we will have it waiting for you come back for a post race burger.

Yes the arrows were there on Sunday afternoon.
Nice job on the course marking Matt.

We had some freak white out conditions today that left a lot of snow on upper Sumas. The course will be modified. Start line is now on the road below Noah Fear. There will be a much shorter road climb than the previously modified Knobgobbler route. Racers will ride up and into Noah Fear now. The rest of the race course is the same.

We are making the best of what Mother Nature is giving us. Dress for possible winterish / wet conditions. A dry set of cloths for post race BBQ is advised.

See everyone tomorrow. Should be a lot of fun!

Almost any bike will do on this course as it is all fast flow.

In an attempt to keep the faster riders unimpeded by others in front of them, which was a problem at the Sumas race:

Riders will be divided up into three mass-start categories for STARTING purposes only. Competitive DH will run first at 10:00. Competitive XC will start ten minutes behind at 10:10, Recreational (Everyone Else) will run at 10:15. Riders will select their category at registration. The organizers reserve the right to place you in the category that best suits your style and ability. Sandbagging and general douchery will be strongly discouraged.

ABOVE ALL IF YOU ARE SLOW AND IN THE WAY, MOVE OVER!!!

Racing is open to all current FVMBA members who hold a Cycling BC licence.

CYCLING BC LICENSING WILL NOT BE SOLD ON SITE. YOU MUST PROVIDE PROOF OF LICENSE AT REGISTRATION.

To purchase a Cycling BC license: CYCLING BC

Course routing will be posted at least one week prior to the event to keep it fair.

VOLUNTEERS ARE ALWAYS NEEDED AT THESE EVENTS. IF YOU CANNOT RACE THIS EVENT PLEASE COME AND LEND A HAND. ALL VOLUNTEERS RECEIVE EXTRA POINTS FOR THE OVERALL POINTS STANDINGS.
