Hi,

Anyone know how to remove the levers on Hope Tech brakes? I've just got some replacement levers and want to fit them but can't find a how to guide anywhere, i'm fairly sure I know how to do it, but don't want to get something wrong so after further advice before attempting.

Also perhaps a stupid question, but i'm assuming that I shouldn't need to bleed the brakes to complete the above? If I do then i'll just get my local LBS to do it all for me as bleeding is something I always seem to struggle with

Cheers

Hi Dude,
There's an exploded view of the whole lever assembly in the Tech Support section of the Hope website, see http://www.hopetech.com/webtop/modules/_repository/documents/TECHMCyl-exploded.PDF
Looks like you may get away without needing to bleed as the lever is connected via a cam rather than directly to the master cylinder. Mine look like you can remove the bolt holding the cam on using a standard Allen key without touching anything else, but haven't tried it myself so can't say for certain.
