Gets a can of anti rust paint from halfords, then either leave it as it is, clear coat the primer or paint it if you really want to

Might do that actually. How many cans of paint would it take on a frame and fork?

One can would do it fine, unless you really shit with spray paint.

Haha! I have four rideable bikes but no projects..

I got my gf a mixte frame with drops and cross levers, ideal I thought, but first thing I had to do was put flat bars on it... Needs a longer stem now, but at least she will ride it

My girlfriend loves her bike Razz the first time she rode it she was flying around with a big smile on a her face like a big kid

i'm actually quite jealous of it, everything works so nice, best feeling gears i have ever used actually, sort of thing i wanted to build for my self but then decided i have to many bikes Razz

Anyone know which way you wrap bullhorns? Do you start from the tops and go toward the horns or vice versa??

Posted: Aug 16, 2012 at 7:29 Quote
Same as drops, start at the bar ends and wrap up to the stems

if you do it the other way you need the right sort of tape so it doesn't fold over it self on the horn/hood area

After trawling Craigslist for a while, I finally found a frame in my size with decent geometry:

Removing components:

The bare frame, ready for paint stripping:

Rawed frame and fork, strung up and ready to paint:

The primed frame, ready for detail work:

Frame/Fork: 80's Mangusta (not sure of the exact model)
Wheelset: Vuelta Zerolite Track Comp, Red
Chainring: Surly Stainless Steel, 42t 3/32
Freewheel: Shimano, 16t
Chain: KMC Z-Chain, 1/2 x 3/32
Brakes: 80's Dia-Compe
Saddle: Scavenged from my old Specialized mountain bike
Pedals: Shimano SPD (I'd rather own only one pair of clipless bike shoes)

Go on, tell me what I did wrong! Salute

Thanks.

Square taper. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B0068FVOEM/ref=dp_image?ie=UTF8&color_name=x&img=MAIN&s=sporting-goods

What's most important here is spindle length. Take your old bb and measure from tip to tip then order the same. Ensure you know if the BB shell is English or Italian.

Here are the technical specs for your crankarms.
