I can do a 4 hr ride and still have a half charge on my 4s

I have Strava running in my jersey pocket all the time, battery is fine. But if you want it visible on your handlebars/stem which requires the backlight on you might run into battery issues.

Hmm. Ma bad then. On Shimano Tec they say that all 10 and 11 speed stuff aren't compatible.
Yeah, they'll say that... but really it's just because they want you to shell out the cash for the whole new group or help clear out old stock of 10sp shit. Pretty sure SRAM said the same thing about their 11 speed stuff.

^^^^^ this 100% true.

Cheers BBLB confirmed what i thought

need some help;
gf has a specialzed allez she bought at the end of last season 2013. its got sora shifter/brake combo but she finds it extremely difficult to actually use the brakes as the levers are quite a ways out.

a) does anyone know where you can source the "brake pad" that allows you to adjust the shifter reach on those? They are referenced on the shimano schematic but nothing came with the bike
b) if that doesn't work, she really likes my old 105 shifters. is there any issue running the 105 shifters (10spd) to the sora F&R mechs (also 10spd)?

Shifters should be fine. Those little spacers should be readily available it your shops "spare bits of crap" bins. They could also be ordered...

Advice would be appreciated, I'm only buying for winter training so I'm not expecting anything super flash.

I've had good experiences with Focus, don't know much about the other brands though

Posted: Apr 16, 2014 at 15:31 Quote
Yeah, I'd say Focus. Never heard of those other two.

Ok, the Avanti is a decent Kiwi brand but as it's slightly more expensive and the focus is the perfect size for me I'll try and buy that. Thanks for the help

I'd honestly just get the Focus because it's the cheapest. Redface And it looks to have the best frame geometry as well.

Though I don't use either of them (I prefer a selle Italia slr flow, but it isn't all that soft) the Specialized Toupe pro is immensely popular and I've heard good things about the Ergon saddles, though with contact points it's all subjective.
If you can test some out from your shop that would be the best first step.
