Are you talking the NS 2010 bars or the 2011. I have the 2011 with 3.3" and am looking into getting the district 4" rise I have no complaints on them they are super smooth. I have to admit when I got them I pressed down and they flexed a bit which freaked me out at first . But later found out they where designed that way. You don't even notice it when you ride and my wrist are loving the comfort.

Just my prefrence Smile

after a few back/forth with S&M i've found that their dies can only bend 7/8"-22.2mm chromoly.

would potential buyers be okay with using shims?

whats the final verdict on the welded crossbar?

So what are the final specs on the bars?

Posted: Jul 20, 2011 at 20:40 Quote
i suggested the following:

S&M "4Q" heat treated 4130 chromoly in 0.065" or 0.083"
30" wide(cut yourself)
3.5" rise
9 degrees back
5 degrees up
22.2mm clamp
no cross bar
made in USA

that is NOT final, im open to suggestion, we can take a vote/poll, whatever. also, color/finish, logos, even the name of the bar WILL be a group decision

"...minimum qty on private label manufacturing is 25 pcs, and at that qty we could make a basic handlebar for anywhere between $20 and $40 depending on material, heat-treat, design, finish, etc..."

im not in it for profit. if the bars cost $32.67 to make and $6 to ship, we would each pay $38.67 for limited production S&M MTB bars

[edit] forgot to add bar material and country of origin
