I have a 222mm shock (E2E), and the spring that came with it is a 400x2.80.. (I think the stroke is 2.3 inch, but i'm not sure)
I was thinking og buying a spring from Fox 300x2.50 but don't know if it fits.. Or a Fox spring 300x3.24 it's the only springs available at the store..
You need to know the stroke of your shock. If your shock stroke is a 2.5 or less, then a 2.5 spring of another brand will fit. If it's larger than a 2.5 then you will need a larger spring stroke. The 3.24 will be fine so long as the free length fits (you will also have a weight penalty).
That's a 2.36 so you are good with the 2.5. That being said you mentioned your i2i is 222mm which means that much be a custom shock with that short of a stroke. You sure that's the correct shock size (222x60)?
And it fits.. but it fits in the limit! Is it dangerous to ride with spring in the limit.. The spring is not loose but is not also with any preload.. (and I can't turn in more preload..)
