Well I have had it since the end of july, I would say about 30ish days at highland mtb park taking 15ish runs a day?

the only excuse for the frame would if you cased real hard or hit it on something

Some of the 2011 operators did this.

But The owners said Kona replaced them without any hassle.

No, just practicing for my race sunday, running the race trail at highland. No excuses, it just broke.

That's a weird spot for it to break. There isn't a dent or something there cause that's not really a high stress place.

No dent, just the crack

Ya man, the frame is pretty thin, I still would never have expected a break there. I wasnt even doing anything super intense, nothing more than your typical downhill run.

It isn't the one downhill run that breaks it. It's the constant impacts time and time again casing jumps bottoming out suspension. You take anything and hit it with a hammer enough times and it's gonna break!

Well its less than a year old so it shouldnt of broken.

No excuse here from Kona just either too light or lazy designing.

Do they do stress testing?

Have you been onto Kona are they going to do anything?
