It wasn't too bad, the rotational weight was ok as the wheelset was light and the weight was in the right places. THe frame weighed 14lbs so with the Travis fork there was scope to make it lighter..

It was a great bike, just overkill. A ground hugger.

Obviously I'm not as up to date as I thought. What's the difference between the 8 and the 88 aside from color?

Componenets and geometry. the session 8 is the lower end more freeride oriented bike that has a 65 degree head angle and comes with a boxxer while the session 88 has a 64 degree head angle and comes with a fox 40

well i dropped by my work today to torque my pivot bolts and as one of my co workers was torquing it with a torque wrench, the bolt snapped. so no riding for a week. good news is that he broke it so he pays for it Smile

Session 8 is usually last years session 88 frame with mid range shock and fork.
So this years session 8 is a 2010 session 88 frame with DHX4 or VAN R and Boxxer fork.
