My 2017 remedy rsl build is finished.
I had to switch from x2 to coil, cause the psi just went too high in the x2 with me weighing 250 pounds with all gear on.
If somebody searches for x2 incl. hardware for remedy pm
me please.
With the coil and the increased travel the bike still pedals well
and is a blast on downhills.

My 2018 Remedy 9.8

photo

It's a size L (I'm 184 cm tall) and I have customized it a little (or a lot):
- The stock bar and stem are gone for a Renthal fatbar carbon and a raceface atlas combo
- Fork also has been swap for a 170mm 2018 fox 36
- Stock brakes and discs got changed for Shimano saints with xt rotors
- tires replaced by Continental Der kaiser Protection front and Michelin Wild Grip Advanced Reinforced back

I got it 1 month ago but I'm still tuning it as just weeks before it arrived I managed to crash so hard that I got an AC separation grade III on my shoulder, braking my distal radius and two ribs in the process too. So basically just xc and mellow single tracks for me now .

So far so good, although I'm doubting if lower the fork to 160 to get some extra reach and run a shorter stem, also I'm thinking on extending the shock stroke to get a little bit more of travel in the rear

Has anyone tried fitting a rockshox super deluxe 230x60 to a 2017-2018 remedy? Think it would clear everything?

A friend of mine used to run Super Deluxe on carbon Remedy 2017 for a while, there was no clearence issue.

Do you know if it was the standard size of 230x57,5 or the slightly longer stroked 230x60?

230/60 works perfekt with the x2 float, think it should be no problem with the super deluxe

Ive gotten away with a 230x65 on my slash with minimal issues... i'd like to think 5mm less will work perfectly fine

My only concern is the piggyback reservoir. you guys with an X2, do you know how close the piggyback reservoir is from striking the downtube when fully compressed?
