Paint was coming away from the knockblock bolt, starting to show the carbon underneath

I don’t quite have that happening to mine yet. But there is some cracking. Was it just in the paint? Or was the cracking in the carbon aswell?

2nd year on my Slash 9.8, 2nd paint job turned out pretty good if you ask me!

What’s the most amount of volume spacers you can fit in the original reactiv shock on a 2019. Online says 3 but I’m only able to fit two standard size spacers.

if you shave down the edges of a gnardog it will fit but it will only get you like .4 of a spacer extra.
I'm going to try the megneg as soon as it comes in. a lot of folks rave about it

I have found my paint to crack and chip quite easily, but its not something I see trek replacing the frame over.

Hi,
I am thinking of updating my Remedy 8 2018 and increase the travel to 170mm.
I know it can be done without problems.
Has anyone done it?
Something negative to consider?
Few updates.

Here's my remedy at 170mm travel.

Preferred it a little lower. The bottom bracket height was more sensible.

Which grease do you guys use for the Rapid Drive freehub?
Dumonde Tech has a grease recommended by Industry 9 and Bontrager has their own grease - either work fine. The mechanisms are nearly identical.

Ah right, yea.

So here's my new Remedy 9.9. Swapped a few parts out, upgraded a few things also. The Rainbow chain and cassette just made sense to bring a little flair to the bike.

I did swap for the the new G2 RSC Brakes, because I like the feel better than the XT and I like the Matchmaker lever setup, makes for a very clean cockpit (only 1 clamp on each side total).

Gave it a carbon saddle, and some Sensus grips, and threw on my set of Line PRO 30 wheels. Then finally swapped for the OneUp V2.1 150mm post, so now I can slam, and run a full length 150mm post. This was a 22mm improvement for me in clearance when slammed.

28.13lbs all done and finished.
