Everyone should do whatever they like. If you just want to ride your bike it's ok but if you want to use some kind of device while riding, that's ok as well.

Technical: High marks for functional parts. Interesting / contrarian: Decent selection of uncommon parts. Not a Yeti or Santa Cruz, which may be a plus or a minus, it seems. Aesthetic: Good idea, but heavy deductions for mismatched shades of purple. If you're going to have single accent motif, for goodness sake, make the colours match.
