I had a Hydro for a season. That thing was a tank and felt like a tank. I kinda liked it.

Agreed. I like the sort of janky angles and straight tubing of the Evolink. Not a fan of the Machine or the Stamina's.

That and white tires look shit, and only get fitted to bikes that aren’t going to be ridden.

The Revels have a fairly slack actual seat angle, while still being relatively modern effective STA.

Kinda like Evils and Treks.

Because the effective angle is usually measured level with the head-tube. Measure it at a proper height and it's no longer modern.
