False.

They all Servo-Wave.

You can also get XTR BR9100 in non-wave EV mount. https://bike.shimano.com/en-US/product/component/xtr-m9100/BL-M9100.html

He probably just wanted black levers.

EDIT surprised he didn't go for SLX as they are all-black as well, maybe jsut an availability thing. Why spend more money on essentially the same product?

personally cant recommend the new 4 pot deores enough - the power and modulation is so impressive for a 'cheap' groupset. although maybe worth upgrading the pads as the stock deore ones arent the best longevity-wise

Yea Saints and Zee are kinda pointless now from a value perspective.

when you factor in the cost of pads for saints/zees over the xt/slx, its a lot cheaper to go with the latter.

Saint & Zee are very dated at this point- it will be interesting to see what they change with the next generation. For starters I think Saint needs to go in a diet.

Saint and see are 8 year old groupsets that haven't seen an update. If they where humans they'd be learning the multiplication table and nearly be done elementary school.

non-finned pads are the same the whole way down:

2013+ Saint: H01A Resin, H03A Resin | H03C Metal
Deore 4-Piston BR-M6120 D03S Resin, D02S Metal

XT 8120 (new 4-Piston caliper): Pad_Option D03S Resin (w/o fin) | D02S Metal (w/o fin)
Pad_Standard N03A Resin (w/ fin) | N04C Metal (w/ fin)

XT 8000 (old 4-Piston caliper): Pad_Option D01S Resin, D03S Resin
Pad_Standard H01A Resin, H03A Resin | H03C Metal

What matters is the fin shape. If you buy pads without the fins, then you're good to go across all 4-piston brakes.

EDIT and get the sintered pads, those are the DO2S Metal.

This is what I thought.

Very impressed with the new SLX 4 pistons, 9/10ths the power of Saint's but fraction of the cost.

this set hasn't had the wondering bite point knock on wood, but I do a quick lever bleed quite frequently which helps.

I just hope they have a microspline 7-spd cassette as well. I am sure they do though.
