Spit and sand for carbon prep grease.

BB hammered in with a brick.

Using a fencepost to remove paint from a carbon frame.

Angle grinder to widen your fork arch for tire clearance.

All things I've seen.

I had a customer who's fork was leaking air, so he tightened the foot bolt and top cap until the foot nut bolt head snapped off and the top cap flats rounded off

I knew a guy who used red loctite on the bb of his Banshee Morphine... He had a bad time.

An actual customer I've got

"My brakes were sqeaking so I lubed them but now they don't work"

Ma'am do you know how brakes work? Friction. What does lubrication do? Reduce friction. Do you see my point?

Side note- I recently swapped to Magura MT7 which I really love, aside from the turkey warble that developed after every ride.

Coated the backs of the pads with this stuff and it’s been smooth sailing since then.

‘Could I book my bike in for a service?’ (Reasonably new at the time Kona FS)
‘Yeah sure, anything in particular you want us to look at?’
‘Well, it was working fine, but it’s started making a load of different creaks’
‘Oh?’
‘Yeah, ever since I washed it in the sea about a month ago, I’ve barely touched it since then though...’

This is what happens when you inherit your wife's super awesome wheelset. How do you turn down Enve hoops on CX hubs with CXray spokes? I thought about taking off the pink decals but then I thought, nah, just embrace the pink.
Voila
