How are you liking the 170mm Debonair shaft? noticing much of a difference?

2019 Trek Slash 8

Yari with RC2 Damper w 2021 170mm Debonair Shaft
Super Deluxe RCT with MegNeg 230x60 (157mm rear travel)
XTR Cassette/Chain
XT Shifter/Derailleur
One Up Switch 30t Oval chainring
Renthal Carbon Bar
PNW Loam Grips
Code RSC Brakes
DT Swiss EX511 Wheels/ DT Competition Spokes laced to stock hubs
108 POE hub mod
DHF 2.5 WT front and rear
XT M8120 SPD Pedals

Right at 32#s with pedals, not bad for a long travel, do it all, aluminum bike.

A longer 180mm One Up dropper and Carbon Crank are all that's left to do.

,

Not as Gucci as some of the other builds on here, but I'm really happy with how this one turned out. A fairly aggressive, 130/120mm trailbike, currently 28.5lb weight, cost me under 2k to build it.
Started as a large Marin Rift Zone 3. Bought it used for 1500 from a guy who got it on clearance from performance bike. From there I changed the saddle to an S Works Phenom Carbon, shed about 2lbs of rotational weight by swapping the trail bosses for Bonty XR4s, installed a 180 rotor rear, and then installed a charger 2 damper and 130 Debonair 2.0 airspring in the revelation fork, in effect making it a new Pike. Definitely could still upgrade the rear shock, dropper, and cockpit but honestly it rides really well as is. Head angle is a 66.9, virtual seat angle with slammed saddle is about 76, reach is 750mm... really good "goldilocks" for Bay Area riding-- not too aggressive, not too xc.

It definitely rides a bit higher in the stroke. But it also seems to be a bit harsher. I'm going to give it a little while to see if I get used to it. If not, I may end up going back to the stock air spring.

If you run any LSC then try and dial it back to none and see if that wont make a positive change.
