Cervelo frames are so thin, i imagine there is a lot more going on under the surface, like different thickness, weaves etc at specific points. This may not be easy to copy on the cheap. Probably same with the chinarellos but with the round tubing is less noticeable

Hi friends, here I leave this pair of videos about my experience buying on Aliexpress. I'm currently pending final resolution of Aliexpress, but I will warn you of my experience. Thank you very much and I pray you to shared these videos as much as possible, although not of the highest quality if they are very interesting for future buyers of Chinese frames carbon fiber.
Thank you again! Cool

Has anybody broken one yet? Say somebody north of 170#, and maybe described as an aggressive rider? How are they holding up?

I am 185 kitted up and pretty much all muscle and I ride very aggressive. I have pounded my 29er pretty good over the last year or so with a fork and now rigid, from agressive trail riding to high speed descents to xc racing.
I also have a chinese road bike as well which gets ridden quite often.
No regrets yet.

PINK BIKE AHOY! Molly Ringwald has entered the building.

Velobuild CX002 55cm frameset (same as a FlyXii FR602) / Shimano 105 drivetrain / ROTOR Agilis cranks / Pacenti CL25 rims on Shimano XT hubs / Michelin Pilot Sport 35c tires / Avid BB7 brakes / PDW full metal fenders / Swift Industries Paloma bag

Freakishly good March weather in Seattle:

All cleaned up after swapping out the finicky Wipperman chain:

500 miles logged and I'm digging it. Comfy compared to my alloy bikes but strangely encourages me into riding more aggressively.

Quality carbon fiber VERY POOR! on photo right side you can see.
It's frame FLX-FR-308 (same FR308 and FR-308p)
Other frames make from same low quality and not good technology process. Frown

Use flyxii productions at your own risk. Full review in a russian lang here: http://road-carbon-frame-dogma-style.blogspot.com

Thats too bad. Ive had really good luck with them.

Yes, the last time they are very deteriorated, many defective products, people complain.
Perhaps they, too, the crisis. ;(

Sorry for your troubles KaraBas. I understand your frustration and clearly your photos show the poor workmanship. I would not have even attempted to ride that. I hope you didn't get injured when the fork failed.

Just a couple of questions. When the set arrived did you notice if there were chunks in the box that looked like it fell off the frame? Also did you use a torque wrench when tightening the components and carbon paste for assembly?

This frame was well packed(for post services EMS Express). It is not the fault of postal services.
I think the sellers Flyxii is relevant to clients. If his have any difficulty they send defective products or "as is". My order busy some time and eventually sent the frame. Frown

I am a very long time (all spring) choose what frame buy and a which seller(china brand).. and summer comes, I want to ride a bicycle. I not could wait for the coming new frame, we had our event ... well I knew the risks and did ride not very fast. When the plug was broken, I was driving slowly, almost not affected. Frightened then later, when he imagination what could happen if i went as ride on 30-35km/hour...
I use for carbon parts powder for cleaning / whitening teeth(it's effectively). I not use good torque wrench, but i know-feel tighten. I can tighten little more than need (like need 3Nm - i tight 3,5 maybe 4Nm). It's fork can be live little more.. maybe 200km or 500, or to first extreme braking or a small irregularity (pit) on the road.. i mean me very lucky - big thanks to my guardian Angel Smile

O+

Toothpaste?

Thank you for the cheap tip.

Posted: Jul 15, 2015 at 3:33 Quote
Toothpaste keeps worse, but if whitening toothpaste, it is also not bad work.
Better is a powder with a calcium oxide tup , they brushed their teeth for a long time ago, 30-50 years ago. Rolleyes

Clearly it was a manufacturers defect. Some of these resellers just resell but they do not perform quality control checks. In fact I've dealt with farsports and my first set of clinchers had a warped brake track. When I complained they wouldn't believe me but clearly if they had performed a simple test it would have been so obvious. In any case they worked it out and they sent me a new rim. I suggest you try your best to be polite with them and work this warranty out with them. In most cases they should send you a new frame. In some cases they may ask you to send the old frame back and this may be cost prohibitive. It is unfortunate yes but one important thing to keep in mind when dealing with Chinese frame sellers is that this is part of the risk yes. Of 100 sales they make perhaps 80% are completely successful. This should be known and considered before entering into the deal. I bought a custom painted frame from HongFu over 3 years ago and to this day it's still amazing. It was an ISP seat post and I converted it to non-ISP. Had to mold it using resin and fibres because the inside size was odd. The frame has withstood these modifications which would be hard to expect from pro frame sets let alone Chinese.
Anyway I wish you luck in the process and hope that same angel helps with the warranty as well Wink
