I had a first generation fm089 and it had problems. And I also got an fm316 (I believe) and it had a super thin top tube. It developed a hole. I have a hard tail 29er which is sweet and I have a tarmac clone which is also super sweet. I also have some carbon rims and they rock thus far. So like what the guy about said. Buying these things is a risk you have to take. Most people have seem to have good experiences it seems

How has this thread gone from discussing generic frames/parts to advertising fake products.

100% AGREED!

There seem to be an influx of spammers and scammers on PB without this latest addition of dodgy chinese members who have only joined PB to directly advertise their crappy carbon rims, frames etc etc on countless 29er topics.

I tried to report some of them but I don't believe the mods are fussed.

I want to upgrade my bike from aluminum wheels into carbon wheels, want to buy 50mm.
I am a new biker, and I see some Chinese seller sell carbon wheels on Amazon, such as ICAN.
Does someone buy these wheels? what is your review?

FWIW I've owned 5 sets of Nextie rims and have had very good luck with them so far. 27.5+, 29, 27.5, and 700c, all hand built by me and issue-free. My only concern is even getting them nowadays with the trade war between the US and China Frown

Same here. have 3 sets of nextie wheelsets I built myself working well and not needing any truing. Broke an Ibis 942 rim though (they did replace it) that I bought as a pre built wheelset. Guess I got unlucky with that one.

Hi all,
I m building a Chinese bike build, so far all my parts I've paid for have arrived. I went for a carbon 19"hardtail frame and it's made by a company called Trifox.
It took ages for the frame to come mind you, a fair bit longer than promised!
I've also gone for a Chinese rear derailleur, it's called Ltwoo at12, once everything is screwed together I'll tell you how it went.
Good luck all.

Love it. Very versatile throw a Fox step cast and a short shock skinny tires go race xc.

Throw my big forks big tires and piggy back shock and go do enduro np.

I would say getting the right shock with the right tune makes a big difference.
