How did you get all the paint off?

I did a frame recently (photos on profile for anyone interested), just normal paint stripper works, but leave it on waayyyy longer than the instructions say.

I haven't got the patienece for anything like that. I'd do a bad job of one chainstay and never finish it.

Yes, it's definitely not a 2 minute job if you want a good finish.

Bar possibly swapping to the carbon wheelset from my Tallboy, looking forward to getting this dirty.

Got me a patrol last week. The geo is so much more comfortable than the '17 Process it replaced. Still getting over the weight (34.5lbs right now) But it is a beast. Had a little difficulty getting the shock set up right, ended up just removing the stock volume spacer and now it feels good. I think a coil is in it's future though. Transition's advertised seatpost insertion depth was off though. Just barely able to fit my 200mm 9.8 post in Facepalm

That is a very sweet bike. Wished of owning a 29er version.

Just built up, still needs cables shortened etc.

But rides sweet as. Running regular offset fork.

Does anyone from this thread want to sell their now retired 2016 Medium Scout to a new home where it will be loved and cherished?
