So good w/150mm up front!
Porcupine Rim 2nd descent of the day
The biggest difference for me was the change from watching the 32mm noodly stanchions flex to the stiffness the 35mm Pike provides for my 220# mAss.

I'm really wanting a Honzo.
2015 I bought a Cube stereo 160 27.5 and like it a lot, but I also bought a Vitus 290 hardtail for winter and experience 29 wheels.
It turns out I love the 29 hardtail and except for trips to the mountains I'm on it.
Now I love Kona and I want another despite their cost, but will the Honzo be worth selling a kidney for and possibly becoming single.
Also I'm not getting any younger, never had a 1x, will it be a struggle. 2016 model is still available at a reduced cost.

I'm finding 1x10 a bit narrow on both top and bottom....that's on the standard kona set-up with 11-36 on a 32T chainring

If you struggle on the climb just pop a wide range cassette on Shimano 11-42 or 11-40

Hey hey, anyone tried to fit a 175mm Reverb dropper post in a medium frame? Kona says medium is 170mm possible. I'd like if possible the reverb 175mm, but I want to be sure it works before I order.

Hey all, is anyone here riding an XL ESD? If so can you measure the headtube to seatube distance, centre to centre for me please? Wanting to pull the trigger badly but also wanting use my shotgun pro and I'm worried it might be just a tad too long...

Finally got the forks fitted on my DL

It's a very impressive bike , first ride in and I'm wondering if I still need a full sus!

Loads of clearance so I've got some chunkier tyres coming

The Z2s are brilliant, too

Hi everyone. I normally ride a specialized stumpjumper evo on steep and technical terrain. I would like build me a hardtail for more fun and faster rides. I saw a new kona honzo steel (green with gold decals)frame at reduced price. How is it at climbing switchbacks? And what is the usual amount of fork travel on this bike? Can it run mullet set-up or better stay full 29?
Thanks for all responses!
