^That looks great.

My Corratec Opiate FX in raw finish. Would love to de-sticker it more and polish it up but enjoy having a frame warranty.

De-stickered

My old Wilson. Yes, the trail is as fun as it looks.

I absolutely hate the graphics on the Enduro that replaced it, so I will be stripping the paint once it's time for the first rebuild.

Very nice... I guess I need to update mine too:
New wheels new tires. 33 lbs of pedaling goodness. Ugh.
Polished Bottlerocket with lighter wheels

Trail mode. 36.5 lbs
chromed DHR with lighter wheels (changed out shock to HLR-air too... just over 35 lbs right now)

Two chromed one polished. The Heckler is now a 26.5 lb XC bike
Polished Bottlerocket, Chromed Heckler and Chromed DHR. Yep, I like shiny bits. =)

How necessary is it to clearcoat a rawed frame?

Not very necessary. Check out the IronHorse Sunday in my profile. I rawed it, took steel wool to it and rode it for 3 years. She never lost her shine
