Getting ideas on a new 29er for my gal. At this point I think I have settled on the Med 2020 Kona 134cr. The geo is pretty dialed. What else out there has chainstays shorter than 430 and 450 reach in the Med size? I think the new Optic is close at 430mm stays and 450 reach for the Med. I would just go with the TCI but the 470 reach is just a little to long.
GG Trail Pistol Size 2? Chainstays at 426 and Reach at 458 in Short Mode. The GeoAdjust headset allows for you dial in the fit if she wants more reach later on.

I could not even find a geo chart on their webpage.
The Giant Trance 3 is a hell of a deal and I think the mini-link bikes will be more comfortable for someone who isn't charging gnarly stuff. Downside is 435 chainstays.

They don't have geo charts, you put in your height and riding style and they tell you what size they'd sugggest.

I do not really care about retail pricing or pricing at all. She goes pretty hard. She rode a Trance a few years ago and liked it so I wanted to try something different. She will be coming off a 2017 Patrol. I see those geo charts now.
The GG rides a bit firmer than most. Sprightly and active, but some complain about it not being very compliant. That can be tuned with adjustments to the suspension, but it's definitely a complaint I've heard before.
Also why are Kona's so damn expensive? Like I said I do not really care about retail. But dang the 134 is 1000 more than the new Norco Optic. Which I find strange. What is the extra 1000 getting you?
Norco has had some really good pricing in the last couple of years. Borderline on mail-order prices.
Maybe thats just it, Kona has a pretty expansive dealer network, Norco does not. In order for Norco to get bikes out the door, usually to people who aren't near a dealer, they price them competitively?

Not posting full geo charts is stupid. Just post the damn charts so people can see the bloody numbers.
