You can also get circuit building little mats that work great for this sort of thing.

Yep.. I have a handful of these in different sizes for in the shop and I love them. Currently have a set of powerstroke injectors pulled apart on my biggest mat.

those look cool.

Not sure if winning or losing the weight game with these upgrades but even 1 less cable makes the bike look waaay cleaner.

Do i need a battery cover? worried it might get yeeted into oblivion while im in the alps and it might ruin my trip.

Mine fell off like second ride with AXS. Haven't had one since. No issues.

Yeah honestly the battery cover is kinda lame imo. My batteries have been fine. They're pretty out of the way.

O+

ive had my battery come off once in a high speed crash but i didnt have to search for it long and it hasnt happened again. i usually carry a spare battery with me if i go for a longer ride so you might want to do that.

I’ve found a battery cover on the trail before. I had zero issues with batteries falling out

I found a battery and a shifter/controller on the trail (separate instances). That said once I bought a derailleur and charger to try it out I never lost any batteries (using cover) or other parts. Only used it for a few months before switching back to cables as I couldn't stand the weak clutch

Yup. the weak clutches are hilarious for being a high end wireless component.

Word on the street is that 2023 axs is more more better and they listened about clutches being shit on axs kits. And more.

yeah i dont like the idea of paying resort prices for a new battery if it does FO.

Thats if anyone has stock....

im going to take my old mech and shifter with me as redundancy then sell when i get back.

EDIT: actually they are 40-50 bucks ill manage if it does go bye bye...

EDIT 2: Zeb is great in carpark test but my god why did we ever drop 20mm standard, these lowers look STUPID with that tiny axle. so much more rediculous over the Lyriks!

Why don't you just duct tape it

Just use torque caps, since it will look thicker you will be fine

No issues with batteries, but couldn't resist the oil slick covers. Cheap on eBay for $10. You might have to zoom in.
