Definitely AXS....duh lol

I'm leaning towards 170mm AXS. Pivot co-signs, and worse case scenario, I can swap with my SC MT2, which is a 150mm, and has room for 170mm. Post is not slammed on that bike.

Easy swap, both are 31.6, and no cables to deal with. Part of the allure of AXS lol.

moar drop = moar betta imo.

Yeah if they frame will take a longer post then use it. I know I'm still hemming and hawing about how much drop vs how much insertion length vs how much I want to spend on my FB29

Help...

Ordering new dropper for medium sized pivot frame. I'm 5'7" (stop laughing).

Pivot's size guide says 150mm for small frames, 175mm for medium frames.

I have short legs and like to slam my post to the seat tube.

Should I order 150mm, or 170mm?

Discuss.
What frame? I just got a med mach6 and I have a 200mm Fox dropper and it fits me well. 5'10 with a 30in inseam.

Damn son! That's great. What are you doing? I need to loose quite a bit.

You'll need your saddle height to read this chart. Looks like you can get away with a 150mm AXS post if you're between 60.7 and 75.1 cm seat height on that medium. 62.7mm is the lowest saddle height for the 170mm.

On my MT2, saddle height is just under 38", measuring from ground to seat rails. Not sure if that's what i should be measuring lol...

On the Pivot site the saddle height is measured from the saddle rails to the center of the bottom bracket. You need to subtract some.

That measures 24.5", 62.23cm

Based on that, you can safely run a Fox Transfer 175. A 170mm AXS post (they're long) is going to be borderline too tall.

I would go longer post. Every single time.

Sounding like 150mm is the safer bet. And winning weight game!

Tks to all who replied!

Well, my new frame can fit three full sized bottles. But it weighs 3.8kg without a shock, so I'm not sure I want to add another three full bottles of weight.

All these ebikes in the thread do make me feel better about that weight though.
