Designing something up, Im thinking adjustable between 3 to 6 speed setups, how many gears do slopestyle riders want available, what about DH/FR rigs?

Thanks!

Dh 5 gears, slopestyle prolly 4 just because it's a nice clean number not to many not to little

So 4-6 speed would be an acceptable range in your opinion? I'm considering 6 to work with hope's freehub+cassette combination

Ideally you'd want a straight block cassette with the largest being your 'perfect' easy gear and the small one being your 'perfect' hard gear. And of course how many cogs you'd need to get this would be your magic number. 2 cents

Well you can have your perfect high and low gear when you make your gearset, I'm just searching for the best range so I can design my derailleur to have set screws that can limit the swing between the two limits.
