Way too short. You need to run a 3.25 spring. That's what I have on my rc4. Plus you're not saving any noticeable weight.
i'm saving 300 g with 2.75 sls spring + there are no 3.5 sls spring + i believe if i put 3.25 spring to 9.5 x 3.0 shox - than my spring won't be fully compressed on max travel
yesterday i rode with 2.75 sls spring and it felt great. i believe i just would need to replace it to 3.0 sls
I hate the brakes that I have on my tracer right now(guide rs) and want to upgrade to something more powerful and more consistent in feel. Only requirements are that it can't be SRAM and has to be sub 400 for everything including rotors. What do u guys recommend

It's meant to be used with a 3.25. any shorter can damage the shock.

I like Shimano Saints. Powerful, reliable and you should be able to get everything you need at your price.
Also, at a lower price point are Shimano Zees. Again, massive stopping power and reliable.
I went from 23 to 27 to 31. I like the 31, because you can really rail the berms without the tire rolling to much. Id take a look at the ex511
Unfortunately I'm still on 26" wheels. My choices are limited. But I just bought the mtx wheels for $200 shipped.
Right now I'm really not confident in berms. Hoping this helps with traction
To be completely honest, if youre not confident with berms, I doubt youll be able to tell a big difference. Once you start to get a decent amount of speed, then you'll notice. Looking at that scott of yours, there isnt much to upgrade to the wheels seem like a good choice, but right now id practice on really leaning into berms and trying to get faster.
