Is there a significant difference in strength between Hope Tech Enduro and DH wheels?

The enduro rims are basically butter. Not sure about the dh ones.

Only big differences between these are:

Enduro
Pro: light, good money for value, good all rounder, easy to repair if required
Cons: flex a bit, not so strong compared to competitors (DT swiss, Mavic, etc)

Can ride XC trails, and milder Enduro trails, do not expect you can do big jumps with these rims (unless you like dented rims)

DH
Pro: good wheel build, strong
Cons: heavy, the rims are deep so can give trouble with making them tubeless

Go for Hope Pro 4s and DT Swiss EX511 or FR570.
Will cost the same and stronger

Thanks for the responses. Will look into the Hope hub and DT Swiss rim combo.

Another vote for spank rims. Light, strong, cheap

Hey guys,
For a used DH bike, do you think it's worth getting a 26 inch bike, or should I focus on 27.5 bikes?

Seems like used 26 inch bikes are cheaper, but only slightly so. Also a little concerned about parts availability (shocks, forks, trims, tires, etc) for 26ers.

If the prices aren't too far apart I'd go 27.5, chances are the bike will have more modern geometry also, and a bigger choice of tyres.

26 all day baby. way cheaper and i bet you wont feel a difference. also way higher street cred.

26 is dead. You're better off on 27.5 and having a more future proof bike.

27.5 for sure... wheels, fork lowers, tires etc. Much easier to come by.
