I think that's what makes it so cool, it looks like a toy, a very fun toy.

The aluminum Meta HT is pretty darn light for a 160mm alloy hardtail. 4.4lbs-ish. If it fit 29x2.5 tires I would've been all about it, but Commencal still seems to avoid 29ers like the plague.

They have done a few 29ers, the Meta am 29 and Supernormal spring to mind. I'm guessing they will be bringing out a Supreme in 29" soon as their pro riders were using them for some of the WC DH rounds this year. So you never know, maybe they'll bring out an aggro 29er before too long.

I don't doubt it.

I think the Supernormal and the Meta 29 were both flops back when the 29er recipe wasn't as good as what it is today. Even Max said they just didn't think 29ers had the special sauce that Commencal wanted in its brand.

It's a shame they gave up on them rather than trying to push the limits, but I think the Supreme SX is a good example of them trying new stuff and absolutely killing it.

I'm hoping for a trail 29er like Meta TR but with 29/275+ options.

The Origin. I'm taking my first stem to a "aggressive" geo and a recon will be just fine for me to get my feet wet.
