Feel like the arc is more subtle. Some of the larger frames look terrible. Quality is always there though and the guy is a bike porn perv so always takes great pics

True that, if anything it looks like the curve has decreased marginally over time

True that. Imagine if he straightened out the top tube. Would be the best looking bikes in the biz

love the curved tt on the sklars. some say it might work like a spring and smoothen the ride..? i just don't like it on the smaller frame sizes, when the toptube-seatstay junction is kinken inward. looks broken to me.

Agreed.

What about legroom in buses and on planes

Also, smaller bikes regularly look better, with slammed stems and droppers fully inserted, no ugly top-tube/seattube braces or huge headtubes etc

I’ve always been jealous of size medium bikes. They’ve always been more appealing than the Large size that I’m stuck riding lol

Yeah I always lust over bikes with a straight uninterrupted line from the top of the headtube to the rear axle and without a seattube brace, paired with a slammed stem and dropper, no kinks of any kind in the seattube...

Then again I'd look like a circus bear on a bike described above

I like the curved toptubes as seen on the smaller and medium-ish Chromag and Knolly-mag bikes. But I am a medium-ish dude who dangly bits appreciate more stand-over given by these bikes, so it's more than just the look.

To illustrate my point - this is a near perfect example of the ultimate sexiness for me (bloody hell this was in 2013)

Nicolai with Gates Carbon Drive and Pinion 18 speed gearbox

Just imagine a smidge shorter seattube, and a straighter line from the stem to the rear axle.

edit: found a more recent example
