And I thought I was being wimpy when I went from 32-16t to a 32-18t! 21t??? how nasty are the hills around there?
I used to run 36-20 when I was riding a p-bike for everything. It was slightly pedally for dirt jumps but very welcome for steep rooty climbs. I feel like 32-21 is appropriate compensation for 29er'ing. Depends where you are, I guess.
the bike is not so much my cup of tea, but interesting read nonetheless. i think peter is far ahead of the field in terms of geometry, building and riding. is it the right direction? who knows, but progress is progress. the dropped chainstays make it look broken from the start...
that aside, stunning build quality and documentation. i just wonder if he's going backward stem at any point.
