That's what I read. Ultimately that probably wouldn't be an issue for me. I want DCs simply for the stiffness of the 40s (I'm currently around 270lb) rather than being used on a full-on DH track
I have a 2019 Mega 290 XL. Came with a 170mm dropper but I have 284mm of exposed post above the seat collar. Brand X 200mm dropper is 559mm long, so I would need roughly 275 mm of room in my seattube. The XL has a decent seattube length just not sure if it will work. Anyone tried?

I have a 200mm reverb on my 2019 mega 290 large. It bottoms out with about 30mm out of the frame from the collar. The length on the brand x is almost identical to the reverb so it should go all the way in on the XL without any issues

geo is spot on!, set-up the link in the most progressive position, add a small 5mm off-set headset to enlarge the reach a little(and the wb, at the same time) and make a roomier cockpit, mt7s, assegais and that's about it. ordered my frame yesterday. I'll make it x11 as it will be mostly for going dh and going up on fireroads. 12 speeds seems useless in this case.
