That thing is so sick, the orange + green is just an incredible combination.

thx man. this was a pic I took just before the first head out.. which unfortunatelly was towards the closest city park that has some 200-300m trails with some elevation; I was so keen to ride it, I forgot to put the mudguard.

edit. I'll do some better pictures in the next few days and embed them here.

Sweet looking bike!!
Just starting to tear my mega apart and send it to repaint, been wondering should i paint it olive green and now seeing you bike it confirms that it should be painted green.

Cool, thanks.
Why sending it back, didnt want a giga in the end?[/Quote] three days after I was finally able to order one they came out with the mullet and that’s what I went with. I will post a pic soon. The thing turns harder than Benedict Arnold.
That green is mint

Anyone know when the Carbon Mega 297 is likely to be available? No response from CR or Nukeproof themselves. Complete bike ideally.

Not only no stock in the near future for Giga mullet but also, no stock for mullet kit for Giga, apparently, for the same time frame.

After some quick math, I'd rather be on an L size mullet with a shorter reach head-set or, on a M size 29er. Measured L size 29" wheelbase is a little on the crazy/dh realm.

Don’t know if it’s the same for you guys over there but wiggle has stock of some stuff CR doesn’t have and has better prices to boot. The giga Mx kit is showing in stock. Probably won’t see the mega Mx complete before they drop frame only if it’s the same as the giga

Im thinking of getting a Giga. Headtubes on the nukeproofs dont look tapered. Is that correct, and if so why not? Cheers

They are all tapered headtubes, even down to the Scout HT.

Ha, great timing, but £6k!!!! Top spec I know, but..... Self build may offer better value and more fun.

At 168cm I'm right on the threshold of a small and medium, but the geometry is almost identical to my YT Jeffsy, other than a longer wheelbase.

wheelbase.
my custom build just got me to 6.5k..it is true, Nuke increased the prices in the last year, especially for us the EU guys but still, some of this is just the industry; like one of Mercedes bosses said, "we saw that we could sell at a higher price and create demand on the market; why should we ever go back to the way we sold cars before the pandemic, when the profit margins are now greater?!", from a business pov, he has a point.

Does anyone else regret buying a Nukeproof based entirely on the horrible quality paint they use??? I’m still kicking myself for not getting another banshee frame.

No I bought a Np because Sam Hill is my favorite rider and don’t care about chips or scratches in fact in my book a dirty beat up bike is always more sexy than a sparkly clean one. I’ve had a couple of their frames and no cracks or failures that’s all I want. A few more days at dirty dog ranch is what she needs
