Any first hand comparisons between a mega 280 v3 or v4 and the latest gen Specialized Enduro? Currently I have the Enduro and it's an absolute tank, but it's also pretty uninspiring on anything that's not totally hectic. Its heft is apparent when sprinting too, and if we're splitting hairs the 487 reach on the S4 is 10-15mm longer than ideal for me.
Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me with a slight quandry re the viability of increasing the shock stroke on a Mega. I've just purchased a 297 frame and was hoping to use a rather nice EXT Arma shock in 230x65mm that I have lying around. Does anyone have any experience 'over-shocking' the Mega in this fashion? Is there sufficient clearance to accomodate the additional 2.5mm stroke? The frame was purchased used so warranty issues aren't a concern.
Take the spring off your nice EXT put it on the bike with the wheel and tire you are going to use and see how much space is between the tire and seat tube. If it’s much less than 10mm I’d be hesitant to run it. I’ve done the same on a few bikes and never had a problem with adding 2.5 stroke

I’ve been running a 230x65 dhx2 all year without any clearance issues.
I’m just going to pop in here and say ‘hi’ as a new (to me) Nukeproof Giga owner based in Vancouver. A buddy bought a Norco Range a year ago and I needed a comparable tool to hang with him and his impressive progression. Got a Giga RS used with one summer on its clock and now that I’ve got a half dozen rides or more on it I’m very happy with it. I don’t see many other Nukeproofs on the trails out here which was a bit scary committing the $$$ on it based mainly on European reviews/ endorsements. So far the only changes from stock are my wheels carried over from my last bike (Noble 37’s with Onyx hubs and Assegai DH tires for winter). Anyways, big thanks to other owners posting in here helping one another sort through questions and challenges.
