had the same problem with my soda seems the paint is a little thick in that area i just lubed the maxel up with grease put it through as far as i could then locked of the maxle and twisted it till it lossened up now works fine but still tight you could always get some fine sand paper roll it up and sand inside the hole to remove the extra paint. is a bit bit strange as my short chainstay hole also fitted fine.

Thought it was likely to be the paint, its an area prone to build up, probably the way the frame is hung when being sprayed

my problem is here...there's a small gap there after i took off the steertube and put it back again.i cant really push in the plastic ring thats above the top bearing.....it just goes in half .....i guess it's not ok to ride like this even if the steertube works fine

i really need your help guys coz i dont know how to fix this and i wanna ride so damn hard! its been raining all week and now the sun's up and i can't ride...

after seeing this photo

i think its the compression ring i cant push in.....a plastic ring that keeps the steertube from "going front and back"

you should be able to sit the compression inside the bearing then put the top cover on then your stem then when you tighten up the top cap it should push the compression ring in. I did a quick vid hope it helps
