hi everyone,

i just orderd a new 2012 Marzocchi 888 rc3 evo v2 which i would like to install on my 2010 scott voltage fr 20.

my biggest problem is how to figure out the right steerer length since my old forks are single crowns (Domains)

thx for your help

If you plan on using DirectMount stem (or whatever is the name of the integrated stems for Zocchis), you can cut the steerer a bit lower than if you use a "normal" stem.

But basically, take the same length that you have on the Domain, and that'll work. Re-cut it if too long, otherwise put some spacers Smile

Don't "figure it out" at all. Put it together before you cut anything and mark it exactly how you want it. Then, when you're sure, cut it. Forks are expensive, why guess.

and the steerertube end must be a little lower than the last spacer so that you can tighten it up with cap right?

Yes, 1-2mm usually

You can always add a thin spacer at the end if it's a little too long to tighten up proper.
