well how much are they going to sell it to you for? and they are one of the top bikes in my opinion on the market, has anyone actually managed to snap or break one? cause i've never heard of it. but most people tend to switch the travis to a boxxer or fox 40. but travis's are still great forks.

Those bikes are uber heavy but the price point on them is excellent. For how much they cost, you are getting a great part spec but weight is a real issue on these bikes. Trek's were never light and probably won't ever be. Who remembers the Diesel frame? They are virtually indestructible but the downside is weight. Too heavy for my liking but I am a weight weenie.

another thing, if you weigh alot like around 200 pounds, then go for this bike, the chances of you snapping it are low since its built like a tank, but as mentioned it does weigh alot, but its not like 100 pounds. so if your on the heavy side, or mostly ride lifts and stuff like that go for it.

yes i was although i believe they sold out of the GLORY DH - from what ive heard, this is my other option, i ride mainly whistler and kelowna so weight isnt really an obstacle

what about the revox is it good?

i think so, i've never really seen anyone try and change it, since its kinda hard to find another shock that has that much travel. but overall i think a revox should do you well.

From what I have heard, the Revox is an excellent race shock. I have friends that ride them and they have nothing but good things to say about it. It is about time that Manitou has some decent stuff rolling out of their facilities. Only downside is that if you buy them in the aftermarket, they are only available with a ti spring and the price tag is rather high. I believe that they retail for around $900-$1000. I personally would rather have a Double Barrel especially if I am going to shell out the big bucks. I think that Maestro is better than what Trek uses so it may be worth waiting until next season to get a Glory. Put your name in early so you can ensure that you will have one to ride when summer comes around. Giant has sold out early every year of the Glory frames since they came to the market. I was told that if I wanted one, I had to have my deposit in by the end of December and even that was pushing it. Rumor has it is that Giant is changing the Glory's design for '09. Guess I will just have to wait and see if this is fact or fiction.

I fthe price is right & it will not bust your wallet, then why not. Unless, you find something a little lighter, a little cheaper, but does the same.2 cents

Good luck. Nice bike regardless.
