I have bought some Fox 32 RL's and the steerer tube is too short. I know the only way to fix this is to replace the whole CSU. I have found some, but apart from being 32mm the guy doesn't know what model they are from. Will the internals of an RL fit inside any 32mm stanchions, or do they need to be RL specific stanchions?

Any help would be great Smile

yea, the csu will work, as long as the forks aren't really old. but it is not advisable to use a csu that was originally a vanilla, so had a coil, as a csu if you are building a float.

the coil tends to marks and wear the inside of the stanchion over time, can be worse if not well maintained and it will not be ideal for a high pressure air seal

so simply find out if it is from a coil fork.
