Yes. The 2.25 is the stroke(have far the shock piston moves). You will have a wee bit more travel. If that messes up your suspension curve and bike set-up it might not be a good idea. I have put a 2.25 on a bike that came stock with a 2.0 and it worked great. Do your research.
how much travel do you have now? it will increase by 2.25 - 2.00 / 2.00 = 12.5% ie 150mm will now be 169mm
can your frame handle that with out crunching into itself at full travel? you'll also get a deeper sag position, this could be OK or affect the geo, and if you increase the spring to get this right you may not get the full benefit of the extra potential travel...
enough with the numbers science man!
unless you try it out you'll never know if its good, even a 50/50 chance if worth trying
