I am building up a glory from go-ride, and I have come up with a cheap-ish build. If you can, say what can be lighter and cheaper, I can't spend any more than this! Thanks!

2011 Giant Glory 00 Frame $1,599
Rock Shox Boxxers (from uncles shop) $250
SRAM X7 rear Shifter $23
Avid Elixir Brake set $140
Truvativ Holzfeller Stem $44
SRAM X9 rear Derailleur $60
Chris King Headset $111
Seatpost (uncle's Shop) $20
Seat (uncle's Shop) $20
Truvativ Hussefelt Crankset $69
E-Thirteen SG1 Chain Guide $128
Mavic Deetraks Wheelset $289

MY PRICES MIGHT BE FAR OFF, BUT SOME ARE FROM MY UNCLES SHOP!!!! I am spoiled to have relatives in the business, so I can get big discounts, so don't call me an idiot or anything, Thanks!! begin!

Which of these glory frames looks sicker? They are the same exact frame, just different paint jobs, 2011 + 2012

Truvativ Hussefelt cranks are incredibly heavy. Why not spend the money on descendant cranks or holzfeller cranks, shave 2 lbs and buy cane creek headset instead of CK for half the price?

That would put it from 2,753 to 2,799, so pretty good there, thanks

I was waiting for that comment, i know that. I am coming from an old kona stinky, ill take any set up. I have already been helped, and a decision changed, i really dont many preferences, except pedals handlebars and forks. I will still do what i want to do, its just helpful to hear other inputs. And close, im 16. Two days ago in fact.

I would probably splurge and put on some handlebars, but that's just me. If you really have cash to burn grips would be nice too. If you are REALLY rich I'd consider some tires as well. And don't forget a chain... and a cassette.... My point is be sure you are adding up the cost of every little bit that you need before starting the build or you'll blast over your budget in no time.

Haha don't worry I'm not that stupid! All the things not on my list are sitting in my room ready for my next bike.
