I am looking at getting a new all mountain bike with 140-160-mm of travel. I've done my research and my first choice is the trek remedy, i just need a bit more info on the 3 bikes and any thoughts on the bikes if you own one yourself. also i was interested to know if any of the trek DRCV and ABP actually do anything or if it is all marketing crap. Any other suggestions welcome and i am looking forward to hearing from you all.
cheers!

The DRCV is amazing. I have it on my slash. IT feels really firm for climbing but big hits just disappear. I am sure the ABP works really well as well but i don't think about it. Everything just goes together perfectly.

I would go for the Covert, but I am biased towards anything made by transition

I think im going for the SB-66 when I can afford to invest. I dont believe there is a better AM bike out there. close second would be the nomad.

Just throwing it out there but NP Mega, rode one yesterday, bought one as a result. It climbs well, descends with aplomb and manages everything inbetween! Smile

If you can, also look at/demo the Santa Cruz Blur. Since 2011 there have been a few changes that push it further towards an all mountain ride. 150mm fork, 67.6 deg head tube, ISCG tabs and seat dropper cable guides. It's now more like a light Nomad than the long legged XC bike that it was a few years ago.

And if you truly are looking for a heavier AM bike, the Nomad is definitely one to consider.
