yes you can but I really dont see why you would need to, why do you think it would affect the geometry if it was the same travel?
You cant get 36s in 150, only 160... I think

In all honesty the 32s are usually fine but occasionally if I hit square edge at an angle it feels like they flex or twist a little. I don't know if a 36 would do this as well though.

10mm wont affect anything, probably half a degree slacker if anything. trust me fox 32" are well upto the job
