Sick fork! How did you do that?

Also that's a 2004 frame right? My fav year for Kona's, since that the year I've started riding bikes and these were the bikes I was drooling at as a kid Smile

Loving the frame!

Really hope you don't use it for dirt jumping though, that is super dangerous on a light weight vintage cross country frame.

Personally I would run it with a lower and skinnier fork (maybe something like a Reba on 60-70mm suspension) and a skinnier stem, to match the skinny tubes of the frame.

But I like it Smile

Blew out the rear hub.
Wont be replacing it with stock parts, quite an odd one.
Looking for a silver XT set for front and rear.
Hopefully with the same silver rims but worse case I'll rebuild.
Taking off the Truvative bars and putting on some newer Kona branded ones.
He has given this to his girlfriend and now wants a radical hardtail.
I still might try and talk her into an 05 Hardrock Comp Disc that I have and get the Kona back.......

The stuff now with a 9 spd X.9 drivetrain new shimano brakes and soon to be DMR moto digger tires
think this may be one of the oldest dj bikes in the thread at 14 years old (2001) and here she is, a 2001 kona stuff with a 2002 marzocchi dj fork, the rest of the parts on the bike are new because they actually work

I am looking to sale my son's 1994 Kona Cindercone as frame/fork/headset. 14" frame with low top tube for major standover. Frame and fork are both in pristine condition, like new. I picked it up that way and my son never rode it. A rare find for a project for the wife or kids. Anyone interested let me know, or maybe just recommendations on price, as I see prices all over the place.

1996 Kona Fire Mountain; bought this new back in late 1996, never been able to give it up, even though there's not much original left besides the wheels and seat post. This was a rigid bike to start with, and parts have been upgraded over the years as it moved from a campus commuter, to mountain, to work commuter (with rack), and back to mountain. Still rides like a champ, nets out around 27lb.

Fork: 2000 Jett Race 70mm Hydracoil
Brakes: 2000 Shimano XT V-Brakes
Shifters: 1994 Shimano XT 7-speed (push-push, love those things)
Levers: 2000-something Acera cast-offs (important bit was that the shifters bolt to them)
Crank: Race Face Ride
F der: 1997 XT
R der: late model Deore

Need some help. Just bought a 2006 kona Kula deluxe frame but it needs a new headset and I have zero knowledge about headset sizing on these. Does anyone know what the dimensions are (not actually got it yet). Where can I get a headset for it?
