DISCLAIMER: I am not a mechanic, but thought I'd make a thread for quick questions for mechanics to answer all technical related enquiries.

I thought it'd be a good idea as when mechanics have seen this, they can subscribe, and most questions will be seen by one of the mechs to be answered if somebody is desperate for a quick answer.

I have a problem with a manitou swinger 4way when i sit on the bike the shock goes in to fast,once that happens the preasure hits a point then it goes in like normal.when i jump of curbs and of small things the shock repels to fast and makes a hitting noise.ive pu the right amount of air in it and it makes no diferance. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

What cassettes can I use with a pc 971 chain? the cassette I have on it now is a shimano cs m770, but it is worn and I assume the chain is as well, Im looking for a comparable combo that I can use. I have an X9 setup if that matters

Any 9_1 series will work id go for the 991 or 971

What is some regular maintenance you should do on your DH bike and how often? Also, my fork needs cleaning and I have no idea how. My fork is a Fox 36 Van but not the latest model, I think its a year or two old.
