Does any body know the custom axle places? There's some body on the DJ thread that needs one

That's probably me looking for the axle lmao, but hey if I can get one made for less that $80 I'd definitely go for it

I have a lathe I could maybe build you one... What dimensions do you need?

I don't know the exact dimensions because I don't have one, however the product code from Manitou is 85-5070. I can't find much online about the specs and Manitou doesn't seem to respond to e-mails

Have a picture of what it looks like?

It's quite different from normal axles, don't know how easy it would be to make one

Yeah that's gonna take more than a lathe. Those flats at the end will need a mill as well.

And I believe the left side is threaded (for the bolt in the pic)

Seeing that Shockcraft image - have you asked @Dougal-SC here on Pinkbike? Or email him at:

Shockcraft has been the only place I've seen the axle still for sale, so I may just buy from them along with a new seal kit for it. Even after shipping it's still cheaper than buying a used fork, and I've been itching to try my hand at rebuilding a fork, and at least I know this one will 100% fit my fork and hold up well, which is not always a guarantee with custom parts

I could likely do it with an endmill in the Chuck with the axle mounted on the tool post but without dimensions I'm out.

Yeah no problem, after labour costs it would probably cost as much as the one shipped from NZ would be

Anyone know where I can buy a replacement piston for Hope Tech E4 brakes? My LBS does not have the ability to order them. I have found the seal kit online but I cannot find the replacement pistons for the E4s. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried contacting Hope?

Are you sure you need a new piston and not just the caliper seal kit?

I took it in for a bleed as my pistons were not retracting (common issue with these brakes). The shop bled them once and and one of the pistons refused to move. They inspected it and said it was cracked.

It's PN: HBSP136

I believe it's the same one as the "M4 series - large" for sale here:

They do look the same. I will call Hope and then order if they are. Thanks.
