I bled my SRAM brakes with the new Muc Off high performance fluid and it's been really good. It has a much higher boiling point than regular dot fluid.

While I'm on brakes I recall a question I had with Shimano XTs and SLXs - they have the brake engagement adjustment. Once bled properly, how does one use the screw? ie letting screw out increase or decrease lever travel before pad engagement?

You mean the FreeStroke screw? I've never noticed it to do anything.

Apparently if you bleed the brakes with the screw all the way out that's when it will actually work and do something.

But I knowing what it does helps as I only need to decrease lever travel and I don't need to increase travel.

I could experiment but I have a feeling I will break something like yesterday.

Hi guys,

Im a little confused. I have a 205x60 rs super deluxe coil ultimate and want to put a map progressive coil spring on it, can I just order the 400lb spring and will it fit? Do I need spacers, adapters or anything like that?

Thanks in advance

i have a YBN 10 speed chain and i need a chain pin for it, will a shimano 10 speed chain pin work?

As long as you mean the break-away pin. I'm assuming you know to never, ever use a regular pin!

Hey guys, quick question. I got a 2019 Santa Cruz 5010 and was looking to buy a rear Mavic Deemax wheel. Fact is, they come with 3 different axle options and do not know which is right for my bike. Options are 12x142, 12x157 or boost. In 27.5 size. I think 12x157 is right but i'd like to confirm. Thanks in advance.

12 x 148 mm ...... https://www.santacruzbicycles.com/en-US/5010 .... Very confused

I am building a dirt jumper and I was wondering if it is possible to run a boost crank on it with 10x135 rear dropouts?
Thanks

IIRC cranks aren't boost, chainrings are.

yes, but you could probably find a pair of SLX or Zee cranks for cheaper.
