Have SLX cassettes on both my bikes, one of which got ridden 3000km over a northern Swedish winter. Haven’t noticed any creaking or other issues, although the coating is wearing off a little on the 16 and 18t now that it’s done ~5000km.

How?? I roasted an slx 11-46 in under 400 miles?

The alloy lugs that are inside the carbon can creak because they lose the bonding between the alloy and the carbon. Raceface cranks have been known to do this.

If you are the original owner you might get warranty replacement.

I have a Rocky Mountain growler from 2020 and for the life of me I can’t figure out how to take off the front wheel. I’m probably missing something really easy but on the opposite of the quick release there is a special locking thing I have never seen and things are not going my way. Can someone help?

Try out the removal instructions on page 8 of the Suntour user manual: https://www.srsuntour.com/fileadmin/user_upload/Downloads/Consumer/Bike/Owners%20manuals/General_Fork_Manual/EN_MY22_SUS_fork_user_manual-20210622.pdf

are those lugs where the pedal inserts are or where they mount to the BB?

Both but I believe the pedal inserts are more common to come loose.

Can I install a 100mm pike dj air spring into a regular pike?

What's a regular bike?

Edit* didn't read that correctly, but pretty sure some of the dj boys will chime in and help

Need help finding the right rebuild kit for my fork. It's a 2017 Yari RC (02t72087174) but has had the damped exchanged for a Charger 2.1 RCT3 and airspring exchanged for Debonair. Will the kit for a Lyrik B1 fit everything?

Thanks

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with mixing shimano levers with magura calipers, more specifically shimano hydro road leavers with a magura dual-piston caliper. I've been having a lot of trouble with shimano ultegra calipers rubbing after long decents and was thinking that magura calipers might deal with heat better.

Thanks

Hi guys,

Recently sent the rear shock from my Specialized Enduro Elite 2016 back to sram via my lbs. Unfortunately they came back with the bad news it’s unserviceable, and I’ve since been looking at replacements. However, the world of rear shocks is confusing me though and I wonder if anyone could clear up some options for me? The specialised website here: https://www.specializedconceptstore.co.uk/product/2365/2016-enduro-elite-650b/

Lists the rear shock as:
‘Custom RockShox Monarch Plus, AUTOSAG, 3-position compression adjust, rebound adjust, 215.9x57.2mm’

Yet I’m struggling to find any shocks with that exact eye to eye measurement, are there any other sizes that would fit? Different options that would work? I’ve seen the brand new like for like replacements but they’re all currently out of my price range and would prefer to just have the knowledge of what fits going into the second hand market.

Cheers in advance guys

For clarification, why was it unserviceable? Was the damper rod bent, have they ceased supporting it, etc. This may be a case of just asking the wrong entity for support. Specialized ended support of some of their brain shocks, but a competent lbs/suspension center can still service it.

Your only chance is this

https://www.bike24.com/p2276392.html

There is no other available shocks other than this (brand new)

or you can buy bikeyoke yoke and use 200x57 shocks

Hi - anyone know the best way to remove the roller bearings from a Fox DH2x Coil shock - I need to get the bearings off so i can swap out the spring but all the Fox suppliers are out of the OE tool... looking for alternative methods?!
