Hey guys !

I got a fox dhx rc2 in a size of 7.875x2.25. The current spring on it is 400lbs x 2.45 I have noticed that the shock body has a lot of thread on it considering the spring is pretty small. My question is am I able to run a longer spring on the shock? I was thinking of a 2.75 or a 3.00 if possible.

P.s it will be a titanium spring

As long as you have room for it, you can run a longer coil. That said, i'm not sure why you would want to, it wont change anything.

I was wondering, don't want to spend the money on a ti spring and find out that it's too long for the shock

What would be your recommendation then go for a 2.75 or go for the 3.00 ?

O+

Go as short as possible. A longer spring is just extra weight

Yet you're buying a ti spring...

^ but youre getting a titanium spring. Still, if its possible, go close to the length of the shock, there is just no reason to go overboard. Get the 2.75.

Ive heard that Ti springs actually feel better when riding... not sure maybe they just meant less weight felt better...

Buying it for performance not weight
